What are Backup Verification codes?
Backup verification codes are a set of 12 digit codes that you can generate when you enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) for your Zoho account. You can use these codes if you lose your MFA device or have trouble signing in. Each code can be used only once and you need to generate a new set of codes once you have used them all.
Backup verification codes may not be available for your Zoho Account, depending on your organization's policy.
How to generate new backup verification codes?
If you have not generated backup verification codes before, you can generate them from Zoho Accounts.
- Sign in to your Zoho Account.
- In the accounts panel, click Multi-factor Authentication.
- Click MFA Recovery Modes, then click Generate New Codes.
- You can save those codes as a text file or print them.
