Configure Schedules

Beta Feature 
Schedules is not enabled for all users. If you’d like to try it out, please  email  our support team for beta access. 

Orchestly allows users to trigger custom functions periodically or at defined time intervals using Schedules. It can be used to obtain automated updates, weekly notifications, or monthly reports in an organization. 
 

Add Schedule

Schedules can be configured for three different frequencies: Daily, Monthly, and Weekly. 

Daily Schedules

Orchestly lets users trigger specific custom functions every day using Schedules. 
  1. Navigate to   and select  Automation from the left panel.
  2. Under  Schedules , click  Add Schedule.
  3. Fill in the details:
    1. Name : Enter a relevant name for the schedule. 
    2. Frequency : Select the frequency as  Daily.
      1. Exclude Days Off : Check this box to exclude the schedule on non-working days of your organization. You can configure the Days off for your organization under  Date and Time Settings of Organization Setup 
    3. Start Date and Time : Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.
    4. Expiry : Specify the condition after which the schedule must expire.
      1. Set execution limit : Set the number of executions after which the schedule must expire.
      2. Set expiry date : Select the date after which the schedule must expire.
      3. Never : Allow the schedule to run infinitely.
    5. Custom Function : Select the custom function to be executed.
  4. Click  Save



Weekly Schedules

Orchestly lets users trigger specific custom functions every week using Schedules. 
  1. Navigate to    and select  Automation from the left panel.
  2. Under  Schedules , click  Add Schedule.
  3. Fill in the details:
    1. Name : Enter a relevant name for the schedule.
    2. Frequency : Select the frequency as  Weekly.
    3. Execute On : Select specific days to execute the schedule.
    4. Start Date and Time : Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.
    5. Expiry : Select the condition after which the schedule must expire.
      1. Set execution limit : Set the number of executions after which the schedule must expire.
      2. Set expiry date : Select the date after which the schedule must expire.
      3. Never : Allow the schedule to run infinitely.
    6. Custom Function : Select the custom function to be executed.
  4. Click  Save.



Monthly Schedules

Orchestly lets users trigger specific custom functions every month using Schedules.  
  1. Navigate to    and select  Automation from the left panel.
  2. Under  Schedules , click  Add Schedule.
  3. Fill in the details:
    1. Name : Enter a relevant name for the schedule.
    2. Frequency : Select the frequency as  Monthly.
    3. Execute On
      1. Set expiry date : Mention a date of the month to execute this schedule. Enter a value between 1 and 31.
      2. Set specific day : Mention a specific day of the month to execute this schedule.
    4. Start Date and Time : Select the date and time to start executing the Schedule.
    5. Expiry : Select the condition after which the schedule must expire.
      1. Set execution limit : Set the number of executions after which the schedule must expire.
      2. Set expiry date : Select the date after which the schedule must expire.
    6. Custom Function : Select the custom function to be executed.
  4. Click  Save.



Note:
Ensure the expiry date is after the start date. Else, the schedule will be marked complete. 

Pause/ Resume Schedule 

Orchestly allows users to pause the schedules temporarily. Once a schedule is paused the execution of the custom function is halted. However, the schedule can be resumed anytime later.  
  1. Navigate to    and select  Automation from the left panel.
  2. Under  Schedules , toggle the ON/OFF button at the far end of the schedule to pause it.
  3. To resume the schedule, toggle the button ON. 



Delete Schedule

Schedules can be deleted if they are no longer required.
  1. Navigate to    and select  Automation  from the left panel.
  2. Under  Schedules , hover over a schedule name.
  3. Click   and select  Delete. 
  4. Confirm your action.



Note:
In case your Orchestly account or trial plan expires, all the schedules will be paused and the associated custom functions will not be triggered. However, after your plan is renewed, you can resume the schedule.
