Configure your Tickets

Configure your Tickets

In ShowTime, you can conduct paid trainings by adding tickets to your sessions. This helps you monetize all your virtual classroom sessions. Before you add tickets, the account Admin has to configure the base currency type and set up a payment gateway.

To configure a ticket

1. Go to the Pricing tab at the top, and click Add ticket.

2. Enter a name for the ticket and select a monetary value under the page.
3. Click Create ticket.

After a ticket is created, you can specify the refund policy duration. Your trainees will be eligible for a refund (when they cancel registration) only until the number of days before a session begins, specified here.  The created ticket will be listed under the Tickets tab.

You can now do any of the following:

1. Alter the ticket details by clicking the edit button on the right.

2. If you wish to allow trainees to participate for free, you can choose to deactivate this ticket for a training session using the toggle button in the right.

Once participants register for your training, they will be displayed under the Reports tab. Within this tab, you can view your attendee's payment details, tickets purchased, total revenue of the training, and more.

Refund a ticket

Based on the refund policy specified, Zoho ShowTime will refund the entire cost if the trainee decides to cancel their registration. However, as a trainer, you can also cancel registrations manually, and initiate the refund to your trainee (or participant).

To cancel and refund a ticket:

1. Click on the registrant name displayed under the People tab and select Refund.

2. Check the Deny session access checkbox to deny your trainees from attending a particular session. You can also choose to uncheck this box, if you wish to allow a trainee to the registered  session inspite of refunding their ticket.

You can also choose to allow or deny access for your participants under the People tab. Note that when you choose to deny a participant, you will be prompted to refund their ticket cost.

Important: If you choose the Manually allow or deny check box for registrations, your trainees will be able to purchase a ticket only after you accept their registration. Once you accept, they will be notified via email, after which they can purchase the training's tickets.

Note: This feature is only available for Professional and Enterprise customers.
