Converse for Zoho CRM

The Converse extension for Zoho CRM lets you build a conversation by creating posts and allowing others to comment and reply to them within Zoho CRM. This extension acts as a platform to let know the team members on the requirements of every lead and contact individually.

Installing the extension

To install the extension
  1. Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
  2. Click All Extensions, then browse for and click Converse for Zoho CRM.
  3. Click Install Now.
  4. Check the Terms of Service options.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. In Choose Users/Profiles, select any of the following:
    1. Install for admins only
    2. Install for all users
    3. Choose profiles
  7. If you select the Choose profiles option, check the desired profiles and click Confirm.
    The extension will be installed for the selected users.

Accessing the extension

To access the extension
  1. Open a record in Leads or Contacts module.
  2. In the Related List, click Converse.
  3. You can even scroll down the record's page and access Converse.

Building a conversation  

A conversation can be built by creating posts, and commenting on the posts. Also, one can even reply to those comments. The members can tag other members of the organization directly by mentioning them in the comments. For this, add @ followed by the member name. For ex: @Tom Garry.
  1. Click New Post to start a conversation.
  2. Enter Title and Description, and click Post.
    You have started a conversation now.


  3. Click  to edit the post.
  4. Click  to delete the post.
To comment on a post, the organization members need to click on the desired post. The comments section opens up.
  1. Enter your comments in the box, and click Comment.
  2. If needed, you can mention someone in the comment by entering @<name>.
    An email will be sent that member notifying about the mention.
  3. Click  to edit the post.
  4. Click  to delete the post.
To reply to the members comments
  1. Click Reply in the comment.
  2. Enter your comments, and click Reply.
  3. Click  to edit the post.
  4. Click  to delete the post.


Note: The edit and delete option will be shown only for the user who originally posted the comment.

Uninstalling the extension

You may wish to uninstall the extension whenever it is no longer needed. 

To uninstall the extension
  1. Go to Setup > Marketplace > All.
  2. Click Installed.
  3. Find Converse extension and click Uninstall.
  4. Click Ok to confirm.
Note: On uninstallation, all the conversation will be lost and cannot be retrieved.
