Copy Customization

Larger companies with multiple branches or services may require multiple Recruit accounts. However, the core requirements remain the same for each branch. Hence, companies look to avoid wasting time customizing each account individually.

Zoho Recruit’s Copy Customization feature allows you to copy the customization from one Zoho Recruit instance to another. Imagine there are multiple healthcare recruitment firms who would like to implement similar recruitment flows in their system. You can simply copy your customizations from one instance to another for each client, and duplicate the organizational settings of one Recruit account onto another account.

Availability
Profile Permission Required: Accessible by admins only

Edition Required: Available for all editions


Navigate to 
Setup > Customization > Copy Customization and enter the email address of the user whose account you wish to copy your customization(s) onto.


Note:
  • Copy Customization requires both the user accounts to be in the same Edition, i.e, you cannot copy the customizations from a Professional account onto an Enterprise account. It is possible to copy if one account is using a trial version, as long as it is a trial of the same edition the other account is using.

  • The source account should not have a company logo in the template while copying the customization. You need the User ID (email address) of the Recruit account to which the customization needs to be copied. The destination account must be new and should not have any customizations made on it.

Process

The Copy Customization feature helps your organization get the same custom settings across all your Zoho Recruit accounts with reduced time and effort. 

You will need to specify the User ID(email address) of the Recruit account to which the customization needs the copied. You can then copy the various customizations that you've made to your Fields, Sections, Tabs, Custom Reports, Email Templates, and Logos onto the other account.

To  copy your customizations,

  1. Go to Setup > Customization > Copy Customization.
  2. Enter the email address of the user, whose account you wish to duplicate your customizations on.
  3. Click on Copy.
  4. A confirmation email will be sent to the Super Admin of the target account. The Copy Customization process will start only after they confirm it.

Note:

  1. You can use the Copy Customization feature to copy system-level configurations to the target accounts.
  2. The account to which you are copying the customizations, should not have any customizations of its own.
  3. This is a one-time process and you cannot process "Copy Customization" a second time for the same customer.
  4. Copy Customization requires that both the user accounts are of the same Edition.

Important Note: If you've embedded a system generated webform on a webpage, you'll have to re-embed the webform's code after you use the Copy Customization for it to work.

A notification email will be sent to the email address of the user whose account you’re copying your customizations onto. The process will start once they confirm it using the link provided in the email’s body.
