Feeds and Announcements

Feeds

Feeds enable your employees to post messages for specific members, to departments, and to groups. Feeds can be used to have meaningful official discussions or make announcements related to the team. Using feeds, birthday and farewell messages can be posted to specific users by tagging them with an @ mention.

Posting in Feeds  

1. Click on Home > Feeds > My Feeds.
2. Type your message. 

  
3. Provide a title.
4. The message can be posted to a particular user, a department or even a group. Select the required option from the drop-down.
5. Click Post.

Viewing your Feeds and Notifications 

You can view all your notifications under your feeds section. You will also receive notifications when you click on the Bell icon at the top-right corner of the home page.

Announcements

Employees can use the Announcements feature to share information or important news, as well as receive itEmployees can read and update company-wide announcementsEmployees can also post important announcements. An employee will be able to view, add, edit, or delete announcements based on the configured permissions.



To view a specific announcement, go to Announcements and search for it using keywords. You can also use @ tags to search for announcements or comments that have been made by specific users. 




Adding an Announcement

To add a new announcement: 


1. Go to Announcements and click + Add Announcement.
2. Provide a title and message.



3. Attach any needed files for reference. 



4. Under Publish Settings, select the category for this announcement.
5. Provide an expiration date if necessary.
6. Select the location.
7. If you do not want users to comment on the announcement, tick Disable Comments.
8. If you want this announcement to always be visible to employees, tick Sticky*.
9. Enable Notify all employees if you would like the announcement to be viewed by all the employees of the selected locations.
10. Enable Notify any others if you would like to email the announcement to anyone else in addition to the selected group.
11. Click Publish. 

Your announcement can include texts, images and URLs. You also have the option of formatting your announcement. 

*To ensure an announcement always stays on top, make the announcement Sticky.

Announcements can also be viewed and added by going to Home > Announcements.
