Group Booking

Group Booking

The Manage Business icon in the top menu bar is your go-to for managing all of your booking preferences. This page discusses group bookings.

Group booking is ideal for businesses that offer training and tutoring services. For example, you can collect registrations for the following types of classes:
  1. A one-time two-hour workshop with 20 seats
  2. A five-session course running for four hours a day a week
  3. A single presentation offered every week limited to 20 places
  4. A series of classes offered three times a week, for two weeks

To create a group booking,
  1. Click the Add quick link in the top menu bar, next to the Manage Business icon.
  2. Click Service.
  3. Click the Group Booking tab in the Service dialog box
  4. Enter the following details:
    1. Workspace
    2. Name of the class (Service)
    3. Date & Time - This is the start date and time for your class.
    4. Duration of each class.
    5. Quantity - The maximum number of places available in a class.
    6. Repeat - Check this box to mark your class as recurring. See below for more details.
    7. Price - For the entire class.
    8. Staff member assigned - Select a teacher or trainer for the class.
    9. Create online meeting - Enable this to automatically create a Zoho Meeting every time someone schedules this class. Learn more about setting up online meetings.

Recurring classes

When you check the box next to repeat, the following options will appear.
  1. Booking type:
    1. Drop in: Use this if your class occurs periodically, but each class is a one-time session.
    2. Series: Use this if you’re running a course that spans across multiple classes. Like a crash course containing five lessons.
  2. Repeat: Choose how frequently you’ll offer the course—daily, weekly, or monthly.
  3. Repeat until: Define an end to your classes. This can either be a specific date, or based on a number of classes.

Additional slots for recurring classes

Once your recurring classes end, they will be faded out under the Services section. You can always add additional slots to these classes instead of creating them from scratch. Here're some example scenarios that Zoho Bookings can cater to:
  1. Reviving a Summer workshop
  2. Restarting a series of classes that ended
  3. Offering a series of classes on a rolling basis
To add additional slots,
  1. Navigate to Manage Business > Services and click on the name of your class.
  2. Click on Class Availability.
  3. Click on Add Slot on the top right corner.
  4. Choose a date and time and click Add.
Note: You can add slots to classes currently running as well as ones ended.
  1. In case of active classes, in the Services page, you'll see the dates, times, and registrations for each session.
  2. In case of classes that have ended, you'll see a link to display past slots.
