Group Settings

Changing the Group name and description:

  • Click the menu in the right, next to the member count.
  • From the drop-down select Settings.
  • Under the General tab, you can edit the name and description.
  • When done, click Save.

Changing the Group access:

  • Click the menu in the right, next to the member count.
  • From the dropdown select Settings.
  • Under the General tab, you can change the Group access between Open, Public, and Private.

Configuring permissions in a Group:

  • Click the menu in the right, next to the member count.
  • From the drop-down select Settings.
  • You can select if all members, admins or selected members can perform a specific activity.

Locking a Group.

  • When you lock a group, all further activity in it is disabled. If it is an open or a public group, then the Group will still be listed in the Public Groups section.
  • Click the menu in the right, next to the member count.
  • From the drop-down select Settings.
  • Under General, click Lock this Group.

Archiving a Group.

When you archive a group, all further activity in the group is disabled. Content posted in it previously can still be viewed. You can use this group for reference purposes. If it is an open or a public group, it will no longer be listed in the Public Groups section.
You can prevent this Group from being searched for, by checking the "Don't show this Group in search results." check box.

To archive a Group:

  • Click the menu in the right, next to the member count.
  • From the drop-down select Settings.
  • Under General, click Archive this Group.

Deleting a Group

  • Click the menu in the right, next to the member count.
  • From the drop-down select Settings.
  • Under General, click Delete this Group.
