Indeed FAQ

Indeed FAQ

1. How do I connect to or create an Indeed account?

When you sponsor a job in Zoho Recruit, Indeed receives the job and budget information, along with the email address you use in Zoho Recruit. If it matches an existing Indeed account, your campaign will be added to that account.
If the email address you use in Zoho Recruit does not match an existing account, Indeed will create an account for you. Ensure that the Indeed account you create has a valid payment method set up for campaigns to go live on Indeed.

2. Why should customers sponsor a job on Indeed?

Indeed sponsored jobs receive up to five times more clicks than non-sponsored (organic) jobs, so they are a great option anytime a customer wants to get more high quality applicants faster. Indeed's pay-per-performance model means that you are only charged when a job seeker clicks on their sponsored posting, and customers can end their campaign at any time. To end the campaign navigate to Sourcing summary > Indeed Sponsored > Stop Sponsoring

3. What is the difference between Organic vs Sponsored postings?

Indeed provides both organic (not supported for US and Canada for staffing agencies) and sponsored job postings
Organic jobs can be posted for free* for some employers. These postings lose visibility over time as they become less relevant to Indeed job seekers, and they may limit the number of free jobs you are allowed to post.

For more specifics about Indeed quality rules for organic postings click here.
Recruiters can choose to sponsor job postings to give them maximum visibility with relevant job seekers. Sponsored jobs appear in more prominent positions, which leads to increased job seeker interest, views, and applications.

Both Sponsored and Organic Jobs:
  1. Appear in general search results on the web and on mobile devices
  2. Offer an option to apply from web or mobile devices
  3. Linked to the account’s dashboard, where employers can manage their candidates.
Disclaimer
Jobs that do not meet Indeed standards may be subject to review, and require additional information from the hiring company. Listings that prove misleading, compromise the job seeker experience, or we are not convinced represent a “real” job may be removed from search results altogether.
Note:
Indeed may reject or remove any job and may disable any company's account, with or without a reason. Indeed cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and Indeed always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if Indeed feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest.

4. Why are my jobs not shown on Indeed?

There are a few reasons why your new job may not initially appear in the search results, including failure to adhere to Indeed job posting guidelines. Even if your job appeared in the search results initially, it can still stop being displayed later. Below are some reasons why your jobs may not appear:

To fix this, login to your Indeed account and upload a credit card to your account.

Your job is paused or closed
To fix this, change the status of your job to open.

Your account is under review
Search Quality can review an account at any time. Contact Indeed to speak to an account specialist.

You need to verify your email
