Job custom views

Jobs are grouped and displayed under different job views. Users can utilize the set of default views or create their own custom views.

Default Views

There are three default views supported by Orchestly. To view the default view:
  1. Navigate to the  Jobs tab and select the dropdown at the top left corner. 
  2. Under Default Views, 
    • All Jobs: All the jobs accessible by the user are listed under this view.
    • My Jobs:  The jobs in which the user can perform one or more transitions (transition owner) are listed under this view.
    • My Requests: The jobs requested by the user are listed under this view.
    • Upcoming Jobs: The jobs whose deadlines are fast approaching are listed under this view.
    • Overdue Jobs: The jobs whose deadlines have elapsed are listed under this view.



Custom Views   

To create a new custom view:

  1. Navigate to the  Jobs tab and select the dropdown at the top left corner. 
  2. Click  Add Custom View  at the end of the dropdown.
  3. Fill in the details. 
    1. Name : Give a name to the custom view.
    2. Description : Describe the view.
    3. Visibility : You can choose the Visibility of the view.  
      1. Private  - Private views will not be shared with other users. 
      2. Public  - Public views will be visible to everyone in the organization.
        • Check the  Share column customization  box to allow all the users in your organization to make modifications to the column view.  
      3. Specific  Users  - Select the users, teams or roles to share this view. 
        • Check the  Share column customization  box to allow the selected users, teams, and roles in your organization to make modifications to the column view.  
    4. You can also choose a  Criteria  to filter this view. Default and custom fields (except Long Text fields) listed under the layout will be available under  Criteria Filter  dropdown. 
      1. Click     to add more than one criteria   and click     to delete a criteria   .  
      2. We support two types of operators: 
        1. Use AND when it is mandatory to satisfy all the criteria. 
        2. Use OR for either-or conditions. 
      3. Click on the operator name to switch between AND or OR operators. You can also choose to manually edit the criteria   pattern. 
  4. Click  Save. 


  • You can set a maximum of 10 criteria for every field in the Custom view. 
  • Click the   icon near the custom field name to view the criteria of the custom view.
  • If the Share column customization box is not checked, the column customizations made by the custom view owner will not be shared with other users. Both the user and the owner of the customer view can perform their own customizations to the job columns. 

Access Privileges : All user profiles in your organization will be able to access Custom Views .  

Edit/delete custom view

  1. Navigate to the  Jobs tab and select the dropdown in the top-left corner. 
  2. Mouse over a Custom View name in the dropdown to view   or  .
  3. Click the icon to perform the corresponding action.



A custom view can be edited or deleted only by the user who created the view.

Team Views

This view groups the jobs assigned to different teams in your organization. 
  1. Navigate to the  Jobs tab and select the dropdown at the top left corner. 
  2. Under  Team Views, select a team name to view the list of jobs assigned to them.

Layout Views

This view groups the jobs created using different layouts 
  1. Navigate to the  Jobs tab and select the dropdown at the top left corner. 
  2. Under  Layout   Views, select a layout to view the list of jobs created using the layout.

Favorite Views

You can favorite frequently used views and save them as a separate view. Mouse over a view name and click   icon at the left end. This view will be added under  Favorite Views .



My Requests 

My Requests  is an easy short cut to view all the  job  requests created by you.  

To view your job requests, 

  1. Navigate to your  Profile   in the upper-right corner of the page and select   My Requests  
  2. The page will navigate to   My Requests view.
