Manage sprint dashboard

You can manage all your sprint activities right within the sprint dashboard. Right from adding comments to logging hours, everything you need to do inside a sprint can be done here. How to create a sprint?

Add comments

You can start a conversation with the users in your sprint. You can also attach files to the comments.
  1. Click the sprint from Backlog or click View Details on your sprint board to open the sprint dashboard.
  2. Click Comments in the top navigation bar to post a comment.
  3. Upload files to your comments.

Log hours

Log hours for the work items right within the sprint details page. Learn more on how to log hours from Timesheet. 
  1. Click the sprint from Backlog or click View Details on your sprint board to open the sprint dashboard.
  2. Click Timesheet in the top navigation bar and start logging hours for the work items in your sprint.
  3. Click Log Hours in the upper-right corner to add log hours.

Approve or reject log hours

  1. Select the particular work item.
  2. Select Approve or Reject.
Only the Team OwnerAdmin, or Sprint Owner can approve or reject the log hours for the work items in the sprint.

Invite users

Looking to add users in the middle of the sprint? Click the sprint from Sprint Backlog or click View Details on your sprint board to open the sprint dashboard. Simply click Users in the top navigation bar and select + User to add users to your sprint.

Schedule meetings

Click the sprint from Backlog or click View Details on your sprint board to open the sprint dashboard. If you want to meet your team members, just click Meetings in the top navigation bar and schedule a Date, set the Agenda for your meeting, Invite Users, and choose the Meeting TypeRead more on the different types of meetings. 

Manage sprint actions

Edit the sprint

  1. Select the sprint in the Backlog page or if the sprint is already active, navigate to the Sprint Board and select the sprint.
  2. Click  next to the sprint name and select Edit.
  3. Edit the NameSprint Owner, and Sprint Users.
  4. Click Update.

Delete the sprint

  1. Select the sprint in the Backlog page or if the sprint is already active, navigate to Sprint Board and select the sprint.
  2. Select  next to the sprint name.
  3. Click Delete.

Re-plan the sprint

  1. Select the sprint in the Backlog page or if the sprint is already active, navigate to Sprint Board and select the sprint.
  2. Select Replan.

If you want to replan the sprint, all the completed items in the sprint are moved to the open status. 

Reopen the sprint

You can reopen a canceled sprint or completed sprint and start it again.
  1. Navigate to Reports.
  2. Select Completed Sprints in the left panel.
  3. Click a sprint to open the sprint details page.
  4. Click Reopen in the upper-right corner.

Cancel the sprint

  1. Select the sprint in the Backlog page or if the sprint is already active, navigate to the Sprint Board and select the sprint.
  2. Click  next to the sprint name.
  3. Select Cancel.
Before you cancel the sprint, you can move the work items either to the backlog or another sprint. 
When do I cancel a sprint?

Usually, Team's do not cancel the sprint until there is an unavoidable requirement. If there are many work items in the sprint and when the team does not have enough resource or time to complete the work items, the sprint will be canceled.

The Manager of the sprint (i.e., the Sprint Owner) schedules a meeting with the Team Owner, Admin, and the members before canceling the sprint. Once the sprint is canceled it is stored in Reports.

Complete the sprint

  1. Select the sprint in the Backlog page or if the sprint is already active, navigate to the Sprint Board and select the sprint.
  2. Select Complete in the upper-right corner.
Before you complete the sprint, check whether you've completed all the work items. If there are pending work items you'll be notified to move them either to the backlog or another sprint.


Move pending items

  1. Click Select All items or select specific work items.
  2. Select Backlog or another sprint in Move to move the existing work items.
  3. Click Move to move the work items, or select Mark as Complete to complete the work items. Also, you can delete the work items.

Export charts

You can export charts in the .png format. 
  1. Navigate to Board.
  2. Click View Details next to the sprint name. 
  3. Select the chart from the sprint dashboard.
  4. Click the Other Actions icon next to the chart name.
  5. Select Export.
