Notifications in WorkDrive

Notifications in WorkDrive

WorkDrive shows two types of notifications—Global or Bell Notifications and Unread Notifications—to keep you in the loop on what's happening in your team and Team Folders, respectively, without affecting your productivity.

Global or Bell Notifications

The global or bell notifications will notify you on team level activities wherever you are a part of. You will receive the global or bell notifications when:
  1. Someone has added you to a team folder (for both private and public Team Folders)
  2. Someone has changed your role in a team folder
  3. Someone has created a public team folder in your team. You can click JOIN, if needed.
  4. Someone has individually shared a file or folder with you
  5. Someone has mentioned you in a comment
  6. Someone has requested access from you to a file or folder in your My Folders or in a Team Folder. You can click SHARE, if needed.
  7. An activity report has been generated. You can click LOCATE to access the report, if needed.
  8. Someone has added you to their team. (only in Enterprise edition)
To see the global or bell notifications:

1. Go to your Zoho WorkDrive account.
2. Click the bell icon in the top-right corner.

Team level notifications will be shown. You can scroll down to see all notifications.

Unread Notifications

Unread Notifications will help you stay updated on all files that have been added or modified in the Team Folder since your last visit.

The unread notifications will help you keep track of:
  1. Who has created or uploaded the file and when
  2. Who has last modified the file and when
  3. How many new versions have been created over the file
  4. How many new comments have been added on the file
If you have any notifications in a Team Folder, a red circle with a number at the center will be shown near the Team Folder name in the left panel. The number denotes the total number of notifications.

To see the Team Folder notifications:

1. Go to your Zoho WorkDrive account.
2. Select a Team Folder in the left panel under TEAM FOLDERS.
The Folders tab will open by default.

3. Click the UNREAD tab.
All Notifications of the Team Folder will be listed there.

4. Click on a file to open it and see the changes made since your last visit.
5. Hover over a file and click MARK AS READ in the right side.
6. If you wish to mark all the files as read, click MARK ALL AS READ in the top-right corner.

All Unread
Notifications of all Team Folders can be collectively seen in the All Unread section.

To access All Unread:
1. Go to your Zoho WorkDrive account.
2. Click All Unread in the top-left corner below the Team name.
You can expand or collapse each team folder's notifications.

3. Click on a file to open, and see the changes made since your last visit.
4. Hover over a file and click MARK AS READ in the right side.
5. If you wish to mark all files in a Team Folder as read, click MARK ALL AS READ on the right side of the Team Folder name.

The All Unread section is only available in the StarterTeam, and Business editions of
WorkDrive. Check the details of all editions of WorkDrive here.
