OneAuth authentication modes

After you install OneAuth, make sure to allow notifications for the OneAuth application. You will receive a notification only when you are trying to sign in to your Zoho account.

Face ID

Face ID is Apple's cutting-edge bio-metric recognition technology. If you choose this mode of authentication you can sign-in to your Zoho account using your Face ID. Whenever you try to sign in to your Zoho account, you will receive a OneAuth notification on your iPhone X to verify your Face ID. Once verified, you'll be signed in to your account.

How do I enable Face ID authentication?

  1. Open OneAuth and click Start Setup.
  2. You will see a screen with the four modes of authentication.
  3. Tap or Drag and drop Face ID to the center circle.
  4. Swipe the screens to read the instructions and click Got It.
  5. You will see a dialog that asks you to verify your Face ID.
  6. If you haven't configured Face ID for your phone, configure it and then set it up on OneAuth.
  7. Verify your Face ID and tap Confirm.
  8. Enter the password for your Zoho account and click Confirm.

Touch ID

The Touch ID is another biometric recognition mode available for iPhone models 5s and later. It's also present in some android phones, as a feature called Fingerprint. If you choose this mode of authentication, you can sign-in to your Zoho account using your fingerprint. Whenever you try to sign in, you will receive a OneAuth notification on your phone to verify your fingerprint. Once verified, you'll be signed into your account.

How do I enable Touch ID authentication?

  1. Open OneAuth and click Start Setup.
  2. You will see a screen with the four modes of authentication.
  3. Tap or Drag and drop Touch ID to the center circle.
  4. Swipe the screens to read the instructions and click Got It.
  5. You will see a dialog that asks you to verify your fingerprint.
  6. If your fingerprint is already recognized by your device, simply place your finger on your device's home button to verify your fingerprint.
  7. If you haven't configured a fingerprint for your phone, configure it and then set it up on OneAuth.
  8. After your fingerprint is verified, enter the password for your Zoho account and click Confirm.

Push Notification

If you decide to use this mode of authentication, you can sign-in to your Zoho account by simply tapping the Allow button on your phone. Whenever you try to login to your Zoho account, you will receive a OneAuth notification with two options: Allow and Deny. Clicking Allow will log you in to your account, while Deny will cancel the login.

How do I enable Push Notification?

  1. Open OneAuth and click Start Setup.
  2. You will see a screen with the  modes of authentication.
  3. Tap or Drag and drop Push Notification to the center circle.
  4. Swipe the screens to read the instructions, then click Got It.
  5. Click Confirm and enter the password for your Zoho account.

Time-based OTP

There maybe times when your internet connection is poor or simply not working. This is when Time-based OTP (TOTP) can come in handy. The OneAuth app generates a numeric password every thirty seconds. In this authentication mode, your browser will request a TOTP. Just open the OneAuth app, then get the TOTP and enter it into the login page. As soon as you enter the correct code, you will be logged into your account.

How do I enable Time-Based OTP?

  1. Open OneAuth and click Start Setup.
  2. You will see a screen with the four modes of authentication.
  3. Tap or Drag and drop Time-based OTP to the center circle.
  4. Swipe the screens to read the instructions. then click Got It.
  5. Click Confirm and enter the password for your Zoho account

Scan QR code

This method of authentication involves scanning a QR code with your phone. The browser will display a QR code, then you just scan it with your phone using the OneAuth app. As soon as the QR code is read, you'll be logged into your account.

How do I enable Scan QR Code authentication?

  1. Open OneAuth and click Start Setup.
  2. You will see a screen with the four modes of authentication.
  3. Tap or Drag and drop Scan QR code to the center circle.
  4. Swipe the screens to read the instructions,then click Got It.
  5. Click Confirm and enter the password for your Zoho account.
You can always go to the Change Mode tab to change your preferred mode of authentication.
