Overview of Users

Your employees can be added to Orchestly organization as users. Once you add a user to the organization, an invitation email will be sent to their email address. Upon accepting the invite, they will become an active user of your organization. 

Users can be grouped together to form teamsUsers or teams can be assigned jobs to be performed. They can complete the whole job or carry out only a part of the job by performing one or more transitions of the blueprint


How to add a user?

  1. Navigate to   and click Users from the left panel. 
  2. Click the Add User button.
  3. Enter the details:
    • Email Address : Enter the email address of one or more users that you're adding to be added to the organization.
    • Profile : Pick a user profile from the list of profiles available.  Learn more about the profile privileges here. 
    • Roles : Assign a role to the user from the list of available roles. In case there are no roles available, you can add a new role.  Learn more about user roles.
    • Select Team : Select a team to which the user might belong.
    • Reporting To : Select a user to whom the added user must report.
  4. Click Save.

You can find the new user added to the list of active users.




Types of users

Active user

  • Every user added to the organization is an active user 
  • You have the option of deactivating an active user. Once a user is deactivated, they will not be able to access the Orchestly organization. However, upon reactivation, access will be restored.  Learn how to deactivate users here.
  • If an active user has not accepted your invitation yet, you can re invite the user.  Learn how to re-invite them here.
  • You can also delete active users from the organization. Upon deleting a user, all their permissions to access Orchestly will be revoked.  Learn how to delete users here.

 

Inactive user

  • All deactivated users in your organization are listed here.
  • You have the option to activate them again using  Reactivate . Once the user is reactivated, they're again added to the list of active users.  Learn how to reactivate users here.
  • You can also delete inactive users from the organization. Upon deleting a user, all their permissions to access Orchestly will be revoked.  Learn how to delete users here.

 

Unconfirmed user

  • Users who have not accepted your invitation to join the Orchestly organization are listed as unconfirmed users.
  • You can re-invite them to join your organization.  Learn how to re-invite users here.
  • You have the option of deactivating these users.  Learn how to deactivate users here.
  • You can also delete unconfirmed users from the organization. Upon deleting a user, all their permissions to access Orchestly will be revoked.  Learn how to delete users here.

 

Deleted user

  • Users deleted from the organization are listed here. 
  • Deleting a user is an irreversible action as all user permissions to access Orchestly will be revoked. Learn how to delete users here.
  • Only the user name and email ID of a deleted user will be displayed.
