How to install Slack

To install Slack:

1. Navigate to   and select Extensions .
   
2. Navigate to All Apps and select the Slack for Orchestly  extension.
   
3. Click the Install button to view the extension details:
   
• Under General, choose your custom preferences for the extension and click the Install button.
  
• Under Connection,  click the Authorize button to authorize your Slack account.  
  

Implementing Slack in Orchestly

After installing the Slack extension:

1. Navigate to Jobs and create a new job or select an existing job. Learn more about jobs.
   
2. Upon posting a comment in the job, mouse over the comment and click the Slack icon.
   
3. Select one or more channels to send a message.
   
4. Click Post.
   

Notes:

1. You can send messages to more than one channel instantly.
   
2. The attachments added to comments will not be visible in Slack channels.
   
3. Comments can be sent as messages only to channels, and not to individual users.
