SMS Gateway is a Zoho Workerly feature that enables the user to quickly send messages and communicate with Temps/Contacts. With the SMS Gateway, you can either send individual or bulk messages to Temps/Contacts. Zoho Workerly supports four vendors to purchase credits to be used for sending messages. The main advantage of using this feature is to instantly notify information to Temps/Contacts.
A regular scenario is that if an interview has been rescheduled, it can be instantly notified to the Temps/Contacts about the change. Configure SMS Gateway.
Note:
- The SMS Gateway feature is available for Paid edition users only.
- Only the Admin can create SMS templates for Temps, Contacts and Interviewer.
- Temps and Contacts contact numbers should be stored with their respective country code.
- SMS/Text message should not exceed more than 500 characters.
SMS Gateway feature enables the agents to easily send mass and individual messages with details to temps and contacts.
To configure SMS Gateway:
- Go to Setup > Extensions & APIs > Others.
- Click on SMS / Text Messaging Gateway.
Select the SMS provider from the list displayed.
You have to register with the SMS provider selected to purchase credit and avail the service.- Enter the SMS provider details.
(I) Screen Magic: Username, Account ID, API Key, Sender ID.
(II) Clicktell: Username, Password, API ID, Sender ID.
(III) Message Media: Username, Password.
(IV) Twilio: Username, Password, Sender ID. Select the Country Code based on your Temps'/Contacts' location.
Note: The Country Code entered here will be set as the default code while sending SMS to temps. If you are sending messages to any mobile number with a different country code, you have to manually change the code before sending the SMS.
- Click on Authenticate & Save. A pop-up window is then displayed.
- To change the default contact field, click Proceed. Select Fields window is displayed.
- Select the appropriate values from the Temps and Contacts drop-down lists.
- Click on Update. The updated fields will be displayed in the respective module details page.
