You can directly start a discussion with your Team Members or Custom Share an update with a specific set of people you're working on a project with. The Collaborate tab is the ideal place to bounce off fresh content ideas with your team.
To create a new discussion directly from the Collaborate tab, follow these steps:
- Head over to the Collaborate tab
- Click on the blank text box to start a discussion
- Choose to share the discussion with: Everyone, Team Members, or Custom Share the discussion with a specific set of people in your team
- Discuss using media: You can also add images and documents in the comments section under the discussion threads.
For example, if you're a travel agency, you might want to incorporate new content ideas into your posts. You can discuss these interactively by adding images to your discussion.
The Collaborate tab allows you to add up to 10 images to each discussion.
Modify, Manage and Navigate Discussions
Modify discussions:
You can go back to a discussion and make edits at any time. The owner of the discussion can change the visibility to include more teams or members as the discussion grows. Members who are part of the discussion can add, edit, or delete their responses.
Manage visibility of your discussions:
The visibility for any new discussion in the Collaborate tab is set to Team Members by default. However, you can edit the visibility and set it to Custom Share.
This way, you can choose who to involve: all team members, or specific team members. If you tag anyone, they will receive a notification and can respond to it from the Collaborate tab or from their Home Screen directly.
Navigating discussions
You may have multiple discussions happening at the same time, with team members collaborating on different strategies. Zoho Social makes it easy to switch between discussions without scrolling through the entire feed.
The Collaborate tab has a built-in filter that can help you localize your search. With this option, you can filter discussions based on tags like Connections, Reports, Discussions, Posts, Scheduled Posts, Unpublished Posts, and Drafts, to locate the type of discussion you want to view.
You can also click on a team member's profile picture to view all the discussion threads that they created or participated in.
