Synchronizing Zoho Recruit with Google Calendar

Synchronizing calendar entries in Google Calendar with those in the Zoho Recruit Calendar is now easy with the Google Calendar Synchronization feature. You can update the calendar entries in either Google Calendar or Zoho Recruit and they will be updated in both. If you delete the sync configurations and synchronize the calendar events again, duplicate records will be created. In two-way sync, duplicates will be created in both Zoho Recruit and Google Calendar. 

Availability
Profile Permission Required: Users with the Sync with Google Calendar permission can access this feature.

Note: You will also need to have profile permissions for Sync with Google Calendar and the Activities tab, i.e., the View, Create, Edit, and Delete permissions

To configure synchronization settings:

  1. Log in to Zoho Recruit.
  2. In Zoho Recruit, navigate to Setup > Marketplace > Google > Calendar. You must have finished the authentication process before syncing the calendar.
  3. In the Calendar Synchronization page:
    • Select the Sync Calendar from the dropdown list.
    • Choose one of the Sync Options:

      • 2 Way Sync
      • 1-Way: Zoho Recruit Calendar to Google Calendar
      • 1-Way: Google Calendar to Zoho Recruit Calendar
         
  4. Click Save.

Note

  • The first time you perform either 1-way or 2-way synchronization, up to 5000 calendar entries from the past 3 months will be synced from Google Calendar to Zoho Recruit. During subsequent syncs, up to 500 entries will be synchronized.
  • When you add an event in Zoho Recruit it will be synchronized instantly, but events from Google Calendar will be synchronized every few minutes.
  • If you delete the sync configuration and synchronize the calendar events again, duplicate records will be created. In two-way sync, duplicates will be created in both Zoho Recruit and Google Calendar.
  • Events added from Google Calendar will be added under the All Events list view in Zoho Recruit.
  • Only calendars you have the Read and Write permissions for will be listed in the Google Calendar dropdown list.
  • If two pop-up reminders for the event are set in Google Calendar, only the first pop-up reminder will be added in Recruit.
  • Events with no title in Google Calendar will be added with the Subject as Not Provided in Recruit.
  • Zoho Recruit does not support the synchronization of recurring events.

To deactivate the calendar synchronization:

  • Log in to Zoho Recruit.
  • In Zoho Recruit, navigate to Setup > Extensions & APIs > Google > Calendar.
  • In the Calendar Synchronization page, click Deactivate.
