Understanding Products

Products in Zoho MarketingHub represent the services offered by your business. The Products is a feature that is targeted towards providing a comprehensive product-level marketing experience. It helps you understand your product's reach and the people who use them. This way you can strategize better promotional plans. Also, you can follow up with your buyers and maintain a happy customer base

 With the products feature, you can:

  • Create and maintain a list of services your business offers.

  • Use campaigns and web assistant groups to generate leads.

  • Retain the generated leads by engaging them through follow-up campaigns.

  • promote a product by strategizing promotional campaigns

  • Cross promote other associated products using cross-promotion campaigns

  • Track the journey of your leads and customers from understanding products to purchasing it and after, using lead-customer levels.

  • Compare products using various criteria and deduce which product performs better.

Get detailed insights on the progress of your leads and customers using reports.
Thus, the specifics of selling can be worked upon and can be used to strategize marketing techniques. You can closely follow your product's journey and keep your targets engaged.

Adding a product


  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

    Products

  2. Click Add Product.

  3. Fill in the following data in the product addition page:

    • Name - Enter your product's name.

    • Description - Write what your product is all about.

    • Product code - Give a unique code to identify your product.

    • Product URL - Enter your product page URL.

    • Product logo - Upload the logo of your product.

    4. Click Add.

  1. Show additional data shows the data added using product custom fields.

You can add a maximum of 100 products under products module.

Editing a product

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Hover over the product you want to edit and click Edit.

  4. Make the changes.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting a product

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Hover over the product you want to delete and click Delete..

  4. Click Delete on the confirmation dialog box.

Generating leads

Leads form the basis of a product sale. Obtaining leads is essential in pushing a product through the marketing funnel. You can add leads to your associated products either by importing lists or by setting up origins that generate leads for your product.Importing leads to a product.

Importing leads to a product

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the product for which you would like to import leads.

  4. Click + drop down and Select List import.

  5. Select the list you would want to import.

  6. Choose Import as Leads radio button

  7. Select the Lead level you want to map your leads to.

  8. Click Import.





If you have above 2500 leads, the import might take some time. You will be intimated once it's done. 

Associating Campaign

You can associate specific campaigns to a product. Based on the recipient's reaction with the campaigns you can add them as leads under any lead level of your choice  

Follow the steps given below to associate a campaign to a product:

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the product to which you would like to associate a campaign.

  4. Select Lead generation and click Campaigns.

  5. Click Associate campaigns.

  6. Select a campaign to associate.

  7. Tick Add the campaign recipients as leads to a level check box

  8. Select the Lead level the recipients should be moved to.

  9. Click Associate.




 If you do not choose a lead level for the recipients to be moved to, they will get listed under uncategorized level

Associating Web assistant groups

You can create web assistant groups to promote your product and associate those groups to the product. Any known visitor who lands on those pages can be listed as leads under lead level of your choice.

Follow the steps given below to associate web assistant groups:

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the product to which you would like to associate a web assistant group.

  4. Select Lead generation and click Web assistant groups

  5. Click Associate group.

  6. Select the Web assistant group you want to associate with the product.

  7. Tick Add the group page visitors as leads to a level check box

  8. Select the Lead level the known visitors should be moved to

  9. Click Associate.




If you do not choose a lead level for the recipients to be moved to, they will get listed under uncategorized level

Mass updating lead fields

To mass update a particular field of leads associated to a product, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the specific product whose leads' field you want to mass update.

  4. Click Manage and select Product leads.

  5. Select the leads whose field you want to mass update.

  6. Click Mass update.

  7. Choose the field you want to update.

  8. Add new values to the field by choosing'=' operator and specify the new value. Append new values to the existing ones by choosing '=+' operator and specify the value to be appended.

  9. Click Proceed.

  10. Click Update after verifying the correctness of the updated summary provided.

  11. A success pop-up appears at the end of the update.

If the Specify new value field is left blank, the existing value will be deleted and the field will be left blank.

To mass update a particular field of customers associated with a product, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the specific product whose leads' field you want to mass update.

  4. Click Manage and select Product customers.

  5. Select the leads whose field you want to mass update.

  6. Click Mass update.

  7. Choose the field you want to update.

  8. Add new values to the field by choosing'=' operator and specify the new value. Append new values to the existing ones by choosing '=+' operator and specify the value to be appended.

  9. Click Proceed.

  10. Click Update after verifying the correctness of the updated summary provided.

A success pop-up appears at the end of the update.

If the Specify new value field is left blank, the existing value will be deleted and the field will be left blank. 

Dissociating lead generation origins

You might want to dissociate certain lead sources once you feel they have lost their purpose. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the product whose leads you want to remove.

  4. From the Manage drop down choose Product leads.

  5. Choose the leads you want to remove.

  6. Click Remove leads.

  7. Click Remove in the confirmation dialog box.

Dissociating Campaigns

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the product from which you want to dissociate a campaign.

  4. Select Lead generation and click Campaigns.

  5. Find the campaign you want to dissociate from the list of associated campaigns.

  6. Hover over it and click Dissociate.

  7. Click Dissociate in the confirmation dialog box.

  3. Choose the product from which you would like to dissociate a web assistant group.

  4. Select Lead generation and click Web assistant groups.

  5. Find the web assistant group you want to dissociate from the list of associated groups 

  6. Hover over it and click Dissociate.

  7. Click Dissociate in the confirmation dialog box.

Importing customers to a product

  1. From the Navigation toolbar, select Leads and choose Products.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the product for which you would like to import leads.

  4. Click + drop down and select List import.

  5. Select the list you would want to import.

  6. Choose Import as Customers radio button

  7. Select the Customer level you want to map your leads to.

  8. Click Import.

  2. Click View all products.

  3. Choose the product whose customers you want to remove.

  4. From the Manage drop down choose Product customers.

  5. Choose the customers you want to remove.

  6. Click Remove customers.

  7. Click Remove in the confirmation dialog box.
