Using Your iPhone/iPad as a Remote Control

Using Your iPhone/iPad as a Remote Control

With the Show app on your iPhone/iPad, you can connect and deliver slides on the big Apple TV screen. Once your iPhone/iPad is connected with the Apple TV, you can start using your phone as a remote to control slides on the big screen. You can even allow your audience to follow on a slide deck across multiple Apple TVs by controlling slides from a single mobile device. The Remote View of your Phone comes with a lot of exciting features to deliver your slides to the audience as you move around a presentation hall. Also, now you can carry your iPhone or iPad all the time with you without the need to hold another remote.

To use your iphone/ipad as a remote control,
1. Sign in to your Zoho Show account on iPhone/iPad to access your Zoho Show presentations or simply click  at the top-right to add a presentation.

2. Tap Connect to Apple TV at the bottom bar of your iOS device and select an Apple TV nearby to present.
Make sure your devices (both the Apple TV and iPhone) are connected to a Wi-Fi network and you select Present on your TV. You can also use Airplay to mirror slides on the TV.

3.
Once connected with your TV, choose the presentation you want to play from My Presentations or Shared Presentations folders under the Category dropdown at the top-centre.

4. Tap START on your phone screen to see the first slide on the connected TV screen. Your phone now shows you the Remote View and the TV shows you the Audience View turning your phone into a remote control.

5. Start controlling slides with your phone-remote as follows:
  • To advance to next slide or go back to previous slide: Swipe left to navigate forward (next slide) and swipe right to navigate backward during the slideshow.
  • To skip to a specific slide: Swipe through the list of slides in the Slides pane shown below the current slide and tap the slide you want to display.

It appears only on your(presenter's) device, so only you can see them.

    • Erase the highlight: Tap Eraser icon   to undo all your highlights. Continue tapping to undo all your drawing on the slide.
    • Draw with a pen or marker: Tap on the Pen  or Marker   tool and then draw with your finger on the slide. You can also tap on the colors to choose an Ink color.
    • Blackout screen:  Tap Blackout icon  to freeze and mask the slide from your  audience and focus on your narrative.

  • To reset the timer: The timer at the top of your screen lets track the time elapsed during a slideshow. It starts immediately after the first time you tap or swipe to advance the presentation. Force touch on the Timer to reset the time and tap on it to pause the slideshow at anytime.
  • To stop playing the presentation: Tap End on your iOS screen to stop presenting anytime during the slideshow.
