With Ytel extension for Zoho Recruit, you can now send message to Candidates and Contacts right from inside Zoho Recruit. You can also create templates for the messages. You can also view all the Ytel account details along with the numbers present and list of outbound and inbound messages.
Installing the extension
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All Extensions
- Search for Ytel and click it.
The details about the extension will be available. - Click Install Now.
- Agree to the Terms of Service and click Install Now.
- Click Agree and Continue in Privacy Declaration.
- In Choose Users/Profiles, select one of the following options.
- Install for admins only.
- Install for all users.
- Choose profiles
If you select the Choose profiles option, select all the profiles you want the extension to install for
- Click Confirm.
- Enter the Account Sid and Auth Token for your Ytel account.
- Click Save.
Creating SMS templates
You can send messages to your Candidates and Contacts right from inside Zoho Recruit.
To create message template,
- Go to the Ytel Dashboard tab.
- Click the New SMS Template button.
- Give the template a name.
- Select whether the template is for the Contacts or Candidates module.
- Enter the message content in the Template Message box.
- Click Save.
The created template will be added as a record under the Ytel SMS Templates module.
Sending outbound SMS
- Go to the Candidates or Contacts module.
- Open the record that you want to send the message to.
- Click Ytel SMS.
- Select the number From which you want to send the message.
- Click Add Recipients to send the message, if needed.
- Choose Choose Template from the dropdown list.
- You can also create a new template here by clicking New Template.
- Edit the message, if needed.
- Select the required field to insert them into the message.
- Click Send.
You can also view the history of messages sent in the Ytel SMS History tab.
Receiving inbound SMS
- Go to the Ytel Dashboard tab.
- Under Purchased Numbers, check Inbound SMS box.
This is mandatory for receiving an inbound SMS to your Ytel number.
The SMS messages received will be listed under the Ytel SMS History module.
Messages from numbers that are not in your contacts or candidates will be added as a new record in Candidates module.
Uninstalling the extension
When you wish to uninstall the Ytel extension, please note that all the data will be deleted upon uninstalling, and cannot be recovered.
To uninstall Ytel,
- Go to Setup > Marketplace > All
All the installed extensions will be listed. Under All Extensions, you can view all the extensions supported in Zoho Recruit. - Browse for Ytel and click the corresponding Uninstall link.
- Click Ok to confirm.
The extension will be uninstalled, and all the data related to Ytel will be deleted.
