Change Passwords For Popular Websites

Change Passwords For Popular Websites

(Available in Professional and Enterprise Editions)

Easily change the passwords you use for popular websites and applications by automating password reset from your Zoho Vault account. This will help with setting up new passwords for your accounts based on your password policy, while also updating them for your Zoho Vault account.

Prerequisite
The latest version of Zoho Vault's browser extension should be installed

Initiating a password reset
When you initiate a password reset, Zoho Vault helps you automatically log in to your account, reset your password, and update the changes to Zoho Vault. You can reset your passwords in two ways:

  • From the web application

Note:
The new password will be generated based on your default password policy. If the password fails to be reset, the old password will be retained for your account, and in Zoho Vault. All password reset activities are audited.

Password reset from the web application

  1. Log in to your Zoho Vault account, then select the password to be reset from the Passwords tab.
  2. Click the change password (    ) icon beside the password fields to initiate password reset.

Changing passwords using browser extension

  1. Log in to your browser extension, then select the password to be reset from the Passwords tab.
  2. Click the change password icon (  ) beside the password fields to initiate password reset.

In both cases, the reset activity is carried out in a new tab. All changes are updated to the corresponding accounts and to Zoho Vault.
