Introduction to MFA

What is Multi-factor Authentication?

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is an additional identity verification step that can secure your account from potential intruders. With MFA enabled, in addition to entering credentials, users must verify their identity via another factor.
We have created an industry standard authentication application called Zoho OneAuth, that comes with four authentication modes for you to choose from:
  1. Face ID/Touch ID
  2. Push Notification
  3. Scan QR
  4. Time-based OTP
Optionally, you can enter a unique OTP generated by an Authenticator application or received on your mobile device via SMS. You can also verify your sign-in using a YubiKey.

You can set up any number of modes and use one for default authentication. In case your default mode doesn't work, you can use any of the other set up modes to sign in to your account.
