A ZNote is a note card that is backed up in your device in a proprietary file format of Notebook. A ZNote can only be read by Notebook app.
iOS :
- Open a note card.
- Tap the Share icon

- Select Export as ZNote. You will then be asked to set up a password.
- Select any app, or tap Save to Files.
To import the ZNote, open the Znote file directly from the respective app, or navigate to Settings > Import ZNote.
Android :
- Open a note card.
- Tap More
.
- Tap Export and select Export as ZNote.
- Select an app or save it to your Cloud Drive.
To import the ZNote, open the Znote file directly from the respective app, or navigate to Settings > Import ZNote.
Mac :
- Right-click a note card when it's on preview mode.
- Click either Export or Export with passcode.
- Select any location and save the file.
To import the ZNote into Notebook, navigate to File > Import ZNote.
Windows & Linux :
- Open a note card.
- Tap the Share icon

- Select Export as ZNote.
To import the ZNote, open the particular file, or navigate to File > Import ZNote.
[Note: As of now, only one notecard at a time can be backed up as a ZNote. ZNote backup cannot be created using the web app.]
