What is a keyword?

A keyword is a word or a phrase which describes the purpose of your page. For example: Let's say you have a site for your bakery and one of the pages is about wedding cakes. The phrase "wedding cakes" should appear in the title and content of that page. That way, when people search for something that contains the phrase "wedding cakes," your page will have the chance of appearing over the other sites that might not convey that word as often.
