What is a keyword?

A keyword is a word or a phrase which describes the purpose of your page. For example, you have a site for your bakery and one of the pages is about wedding cakes. The phrase "wedding cakes" should appear in the title and content of that page. That way, when people search for something that contains the phrase "wedding cakes", your page may appear in the search results before other sites that do not use that phrase as often.
